Section 130 of The Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 2011
The council must make provisions by regulations to restrict or regulate the display of advertisements in the interests of amenity or public safety.
Section 130 of The Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 requires the council to make provisions, by regulations, for restricting or regulating the display of advertisements so far as it appears to be expedient in the interests of amenity or public safety. The Planning (Control of Advertisements) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 as amended is the relevant statutory rule (referred to as 'the Regulations').
