Fire wall height and horizontal extent for LPG tanks

Fire walls protecting LPG storage tanks must be at least as high as the pressure release valve and extend horizontally to maintain specified separation distances, either measured around the ends or to the ends of the wall depending on configuration.

A fire wall should be not less than the height of the pressure release valve and should extend horizontally such that the separation distance specified in Table 6.2, Column (B) is maintained – (a) when measured around the ends of the fire wall as shown in Diagram 6.1(b); or (b) when measured to the ends of the fire wall as shown in Diagram 6.1(c), if the fire wall is the boundary or part of the building.
