Local Context in Housing Needs Assessment
The local context section of a Housing Needs Assessment should highlight local housing market, socio-economic, and demographic issues that differ from regional trends or show changing patterns of housing demand or supply.
The purpose of including a localised housing context is to highlight local housing market, socio-economic, and demographic issues, within the development plan area, that are at variance from NI regional trends or where there is a possible issue associated with changing patterns of demand or supply of housing.
This section of the HNA will involve updating and expanding the Housing Issues Statement produced earlier for the "Issues" stage of the planning process.
