Analysis Methodology and Geographic Levels
The HNA analysis must examine trends and market factors at multiple geographic levels, with the main analysis at development plan/district council boundary level, supplemented by localised sub-level analysis with catchment areas identified and agreed at the outset.
The analysis will not be merely a description of the data collated; it will consider how the various parts of the housing market are changing or likely to change over time and how this will impact on the local housing market. These will be set within the context of existing and anticipated supply and within a strategic context for Northern Ireland. The analysis will be undertaken at various geographic levels. The main area for analysis will be the development plan/district council boundary. Within these areas however other sub-level areas will be subjected to localised analysis. All catchment areas will be identified geographically and agreed at the beginning of the HNA process.
