Minimum Marketing Period

Employment land and premises must be actively marketed for at least 18 months before an application for redevelopment or change to alternative use can be considered. Lower financial returns compared to other development are not sufficient justification for discontinuing employment use.

The Council expects employment land and premises to be actively marketed for at least 18 months before an application for redevelopment or a change to an alternative use can be considered. A lesser financial return on investment relative to other development is not sufficient to justify the site not continuing to be available for employment use.
