When sequential test is required
A sequential test must be applied for retail or main town centre development proposals in edge of centre or out of centre locations.
A sequential test should be applied when an application for retail or other main town centre development is proposed either in an edge of centre or an out of centre location. This is in line with policy RET2 of the plan Strategy and para 6.280 of the SPPS.
