Sequential Test Site Selection Hierarchy
Main town centre uses must be considered for location in a specified order of preference: Belfast city centre PRC and PRF first, then wider city centre, district centres, local centres, and finally edge of town centre.
The sequential test to site selection for main town centre uses will therefore require applicants to consider sites in the following order of preference: • Belfast city centre's Primary Retail Core (PRC) and Frontage (PRF); • Belfast city centre (beyond the PRF and PRC) • district centres; • local centres; then • edge of town centre
