Pylon and pole mounted signage - Design guidance
Design guidance requires pylon and pole mounted signs to be in scale with surroundings, not exceed building heights, preserve visual amenity, avoid proximity to residential properties, and restrict illumination to lettering and logos.
Should be in scale with their surroundings and should not significantly exceed surrounding building heights. Should not detract from the visual amenity or character of the surrounding area. Should not be sited adjacent to, and wherever possible should not directly face residential properties. Illumination should generally be restricted to the sign lettering and logo.
