Heritage impact assessment for advertisements and signs
When assessing advertisements or signs in listed buildings, Conservation Areas, and Areas of Townscape Character, the council will consider their effect on the general characteristics of the area and any features of historic, archaeological, architectural, landscape, cultural or other special interest.
In assessing the impact of an advertisement or sign on heritage assets, the council will take into account the following:
• the effect the advertisement/sign will have on the general characteristics of the area, including the presence of any features of historic, archaeological, architectural, landscape, cultural or other special interest including but not limited to listed buildings, Conservation Areas and Areas of Townscape Character.
