Policy DES2 - Masterplanning approach for major development (waterside character)
Planning permission for major development includes a requirement to enhance the waterside character and setting of the River Lagan by improving existing access points and providing new ones, along with new cross-river connections where appropriate.
Planning permission will be granted for major development where it accords with the following masterplanning principles: (g) Enhance the waterside character and setting of the River Lagan, including the improvement of existing and provision of new access points and new cross river connections where appropriate.
