Connectivity requirements in masterplans
Development proposals must address connectivity issues including green routes and greenways; poor connectivity alone makes a masterplan unacceptable regardless of development quality.
Poor connectivity will limit the success of the masterplan irrespective of the quality of development proposed and as such development proposals that fail to address these issues will not be considered acceptable. Greenways and green routes are one approach that could be widely implemented across the city. safeguarding appropriate land within masterplans that could futureproof the development of green connections.
