Tall Building Design Statement - Contents and Requirements

All applications that trigger the policy requirements of DES3 must include a Tall Building Design Statement (TBDS) as part of their submission in addition to any other supporting information (such as a Design and Access Statement). This will set out the design vision for the proposal outlining how the policy criteria contained within DES3 have been fully addressed, alongside justification for the appropriateness of a tall building on the proposed site. Further locational based policies will be assessed at the LPP stage.
