Protecting heritage - General considerations for tall buildings

Belfast contains a wide range of fine historic buildings, many of which have been shaped by the city's rich industrial past. The location of tall buildings within the setting of listed buildings, conservation areas, areas of townscape character and historic monuments/gardens, will require careful and detailed consideration to ensure their scale, height, massing, materials and detailed design preserves and enhances the setting and character of these buildings and areas.
