Policy DES1 - Amenity and overshadowing requirement
Planning permission will be granted for new development of quality sustainable design that minimises undue effects on neighbouring properties or public spaces by reducing overshadowing and loss of daylight.
Planning permission will be granted for new development that is of a quality, sustainable design that makes a positive contribution to placemaking by: (j) Ensuring no undue effect on the amenity of the neighbouring properties or public spaces by minimising the impact of overshadowing and loss of daylight.
