Residential Density Examples and Range
This section illustrates the variation in residential densities across Belfast, ranging from low-density suburban areas to high-density urban neighborhoods, demonstrating that high density does not necessarily equate to high-rise development.
A heatmap of densities across Belfast ranging from 12 dwellings per hectare (du/ha) at Deramore Park to Palestine Street in the Holylands where densities of around 128 du/ha are not uncommon. This dispels perceptions which can often conflate high densities with high rise.
