Policy DES1: Principles of urban design - active frontages and land use diversity
Planning permission will be granted for development that promotes a diversity of land uses providing active frontages that ensure vibrancy throughout the day as part of quality, sustainable design contributing to placemaking.
Planning permission will be granted for new development that is of a quality, sustainable design that makes a positive contribution to placemaking by: (f) Promoting a diversity of land uses that provide active frontages and ensure vibrancy throughout the day.
