Figure ground diagrams help understand a place by examining the relationships between its multiple layers, including built form, movement networks, and open space and landscape provision.
Figure ground diagrams can assist our understanding of a place through its many layers and an understanding of the relationships that exist between these layers, whether it be its built form, its movement network or its open space and landscape provision.
