Policy DES1: Principles of urban design - sense of place requirement
Planning permission will be granted for development of quality sustainable design that makes positive contribution to placemaking by positively reinforcing sense of place through identifying, incorporating and enhancing locally distinctive features.
Planning permission will be granted for new development that is of a quality, sustainable design that makes a positive contribution to placemaking by: (b) Positively reinforcing a sense of place by demonstrating that locally distinctive features have been identified, incorporated and enhanced where appropriate.
