Initial Contextual Studies - Purpose and Timing

Schemes must demonstrate clear understanding of context through initial contextual studies undertaken at the earliest development stage. These studies should include site analysis, context review, and appropriate response to aid stakeholder dialogue.

It is essential that a scheme can communicate its understanding of context clearly and simply. Initial contextual studies demonstrating site analysis, context review and the appropriate response, should be undertaken at the earliest stage of the development process to aid dialogue between stakeholders.
