Placemaking Response to Urban Needs
Development should respond to the diverse and changing social, economic, and environmental conditions in urban areas, with positive impacts on health and well-being, environmental protection, and economic viability.
While the built urban environment of the city is diverse, so too are the needs and requirements of those who live, work and socialise there. Ever changing social, economic and environmental conditions will require a greater awareness of how development can have a positive impact on the issues facing Belfast, from improving health and well-being, to protecting the environment and promoting a viable economy.
