Strategic Policy 4 - Housing Choice and Community Cohesion
Strategic Policy 4 seeks to provide a choice of housing in socially balanced communities, encouraging diverse and affordable housing that meets the needs of ageing and changing populations while promoting balanced communities and community cohesion. The Council will facilitate an appropriate mix of housing tenures and sizes within developments.
Strategic Policy 4 of the Plan Strategy seeks to provide a choice of housing for people in socially balanced and inclusive communities across the Borough. The Council wishes to encourage an affordable and diverse choice of housing that will meet the needs of an ageing and changing population, whilst also encouraging the development of balanced communities and helping to strengthen community cohesion. The Council will therefore seek to facilitate an appropriate mix of housing tenures and sizes within housing developments.
