Permitted development for domestic microgeneration equipment

Certain domestic microgeneration equipment may be installed as permitted development under the Planning (General Permitted Development) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015, provided specific rules are satisfied. If rules are not met, planning permission must be sought.

The installation of certain domestic microgeneration equipment may be carried out as 'permitted development', provided specific rules are satisfied, as set out in the Planning (General Permitted Development) Order (Northern Ireland) 201517. If the rules are not satisfied, development is not permitted, and planning permission will have to be sought by way of a planning application.
