Privacy and Separation Distances
Extensions must maintain adequate separation distances to protect privacy of existing properties. Reduced distances may be acceptable if mitigating measures such as obscured glazing, recessed windows, or high-level windows are used.
Proposals that fail to achieve a high quality residential environment or that are likely to result in a significant loss of privacy or overlooking, particularly of existing properties, will not be acceptable.
