Ancillary buildings – design and internal accessibility

Ancillary accommodation should be designed to enable later integration as part of the main residence, normally attached to the existing property with internal accessibility, though separate doorway access is also acceptable.

Proposals of this nature should also be designed in such a manner as to easily enable the accommodation to be later used as an integral part of the main residential property. Therefore, such additional accommodation should normally be attached to the existing property and be internally accessible from it, although a separate doorway access will also be acceptable.
