Built-in storage requirements for adaptable housing

Wheelchair adaptable units must provide adequate built-in internal storage, separate from wheelchair storage and utility areas, at minimum commensurate with standards in Table 3, within overall minimum space requirements.

Adequate space for built-in internal storage, separate to wheelchair storage provision and areas containing boilers and other utility infrastructure, should be provided. At a minimum, wheelchair adaptable units should provide built-in storage space commensurate with the areas set out in Table 3. The additional space can be accommodated within the relevant minimum space standards, as long as sufficient space is provided for individual rooms.
