Hallway layout and turning circles for wheelchair access
Hallway length should be minimized and the overall layout must accommodate required turning circles, with localized obstructions positioned to minimize impact on manoeuvrability.
The length of the hallway should be kept to a minimum and the layout of it and other rooms should be considered alongside any required turning circles (see Section entitled 'Unobstructed turning circles) to ensure that doors are accessible. Localised obstructions (such as a radiator) should be positioned where manoeuvrability will be least compromised.
