Wheelchair accessible homes requirement
Residential developments with 10 or more units must provide at least 10% of units as wheelchair accessible homes to meet future housing needs and broaden the range of suitable accommodation.
The requirement for at least 10% of units to be provided as wheelchair accessible homes within residential developments of 10 units or more is intended to broaden the range of accommodation suitable to meet future need. In addition to the above requirements, for all residential developments of 10 units or more, planning permission will be granted where at least 10% of units are wheelchair accessible.
