Policy HOU7 Criteria and Building Regulations
Policy HOU7 criteria do not require full Lifetime Homes standards or fully wheelchair accessible homes, but aim to deliver more adaptable and accessible homes. Some requirements exceed NI Building Regulations Part R standards.
The criteria set out in Policy HOU7 are not intended to meet full 'Lifetime Homes' standards or deliver fully wheelchair accessible homes. Rather, the objective is to deliver more adaptable and accessible homes. Similarly, whilst some of the policy requirements are already required by Building Regulations, some of the criteria do exceed standards set out in Part R of the NI Building Regulations.
