Communal facilities in residential developments

Communal facilities such as common rooms, gyms, or laundry rooms should be provided as appropriate to serve future residents. These facilities must be accessible to all residents within a building regardless of tenure, and costs must not be prohibitively expensive for affordable housing tenants.

Many residents that choose apartment living also desire a range of communal facilities to be provided as part of the development. Such facilities should be accessible to all residents within a building, irrespective of tenure, with care taken to ensure that any additional costs associated with such facilities are not prohibitively expensive for tenants of affordable housing units.
