Entrance lobbies - frontage and arrival

Entrance lobbies must present onto the main street and maintain an active frontage with appropriate lighting, signage, and welcoming features such as porches or canopies to provide shelter and a sense of arrival.

It is important that entrance lobbies present onto the main street and maintain an active frontage which provides a sense of arrival on entering the building. This can be achieved through use of appropriate lighting and signage as well as other welcoming features, such as porches or canopies which provide shelter to doorways.
