Permeable paving as SuDS in new residential developments
Permeable paving as a form of sustainable drainage system (SuDS) should be encouraged in new residential developments where maintenance can be controlled by householders or property management companies.
Permeable paving can, as a form of SuDS, contribute a reduction in the amount and speed of surface water run-off from new development. The Council therefore encourage greater use of permeable paving within new residential developments in locations where the future maintenance of such surfaces can be controlled by the individual householder or by a property management company.
