Equipped Children's Play Area Requirements
Developments of 100 units or more, or sites of 5 hectares or more, must provide an equipped children's play area unless a sufficient equipped play area exists within approximately 400 metres of the majority of units.
Criterion e. of Policy OS3 – Ancillary Open Space of the Plan Strategy requires an equipped children's play area as an integral part of residential developments of 100 units or more, or development sites of 5 hectares or more. An exception, subject to further provisions of the policy, may be considered where a sufficient equipped children's play area exists within reasonable walking distance (generally around 400 metres) of the majority of the units within the development scheme.
