Acoustic design for apartment and flat developments

In apartment and flat developments, 'stacking' is encouraged whereby consistent room types are aligned vertically (e.g. kitchen above kitchen) to improve acoustic performance between units.

These aspects are particularly important in relation to residential units within new apartment/flat developments. The 'stacking' of apartment/flats, whereby consistent room types are above each other is encouraged, for example, the kitchen of the first floor flat being positioned above the kitchen of the ground floor flat.
