45 Degree Rule and Other Material Planning Considerations
Compliance with the 45 degree rule regarding daylight impact does not eliminate the need to satisfy other relevant planning considerations, such as privacy impacts on existing dwellings.
A proposal which satisfies the 45 degree rule in terms of the impact on light will still need to satisfy all other relevant material planning considerations, including the impact on privacy of existing dwellings, in order to gain permission.
