Demolition and redevelopment - character and integrity considerations

Demolition and redevelopment of existing houses requires careful attention to siting, massing, architectural treatment, materials, and landscape maintenance to avoid detrimentally affecting the quality and character of the residential environment and street scene.

Demolition and redevelopment of existing houses presents the greatest challenge in terms of retaining the character and integrity of the established street scene.
