Validity of viability assessments until determination
Viability assessment conclusions must remain valid until the planning decision is made, and may be updated if necessary to account for market movements during the assessment process.
It is important that the decision of the Council on a planning application is based on material considerations at the time of determination, hence the conclusions of a viability assessment undertaken as part of a planning application should remain valid until the date of decision. If necessary, a site-specific viability assessment may need to be updated due to market movements during the planning assessment process.
