Viability Assessment Presentation and Interrogation

Viability assessments must set out all inputs and findings clearly to aid interpretation by decision-makers, focusing on deviations from key assumptions with appropriate evidence, and presenting findings concisely and transparently.

For any viability assessment submitted at planning application stage, all inputs and findings should be set out in a way that aids clear interpretation and interrogation by decision-makers. The assessment should focus on any deviation from the key assumptions outlined in the separate Key Assumptions document, clearly explaining these changes, supported by appropriate evidence. Particular attention should also be paid to setting out the findings of the assessment in a concise and transparent way.
