Off-site delivery - donor site requirements
When delivering affordable housing off-site, the donor site(s) must be located as close as possible to the main site within the same Local Housing Area to meet identified local housing needs, though off-site provision in areas of existing high affordable housing concentration should be avoided.
The donor site(s) should be located as close as possible to the main site, within the same Local Housing Area. In other words, it should help to meet the same need identified for the main site, with a focus on local provision for local communities. However, it should also be noted that off-site provision in areas of existing high affordable housing concentration will reinforce the existing housing tenure dominance and may not support mixed and balanced communities.
