Pepper Potting - Clusters and Segregation

While full pepper potting should be the first consideration, small clusters of affordable units may be appropriate for some developments, but fully segregated schemes in traditional housing developments are not acceptable; tenure blind design is essential.

Whilst full pepper potting should be considered in the first instance, it is acknowledged that, for some developments, small clusters of affordable units may be more appropriate. In such cases, effective tenure blind design is even more essential to overcome any sense of segregation. For traditional housing developments, fully segregated schemes will not be considered appropriate. See illustrative examples in Figure 3.4.
