Natural Heritage Sites Development Indicator (Indicator 25)
Monitors permissions granted on designated natural heritage sites to prevent non-compatible development. The target is zero permissions contrary to NIEA advice, with a trigger if one or more permissions are granted in any year.

Indicator: Quantity of development permitted on all Natural Heritage Sites
Source: Planning decisions (BCC) and liaising with NIEA
Relevant Policy: NH1
Target: No permissions granted for non-compatible development in designated natural heritage areas and contrary to NIEA advice.
Trigger: 1 or more permission in any year for non-compatible development on designated natural heritage areas contrary to NIEA advice.
