Rural development refusal criteria
Development will be refused if it is unduly prominent in the landscape, mars the distinction between settlement and countryside, results in urban sprawl or suburban-style development, or does not respect the traditional pattern of settlement in the area.
Development will not be supported where it is: Unduly prominent in the landscape; Mars the distinction between a settlement and the surrounding countryside or it otherwise results in urban sprawl or a suburban style development, including individually and cumulatively; or It does not respect the traditional pattern of settlement exhibited in that area.
