Air quality material planning considerations

Development proposals must consider the severity of air quality impacts, existing air quality in the surrounding area, the likely use and occupancy duration of the development, and positive benefits from other material considerations.

Any air quality issue that relates to land use and development is a material planning consideration and factors to be considered include: The severity of the impacts on air quality; The air quality in the area surrounding the proposed development; The likely use of the development, i.e. the length of time people are likely to be exposed at that location; and The positive benefits provided through other material considerations.
