COMAH Regulations and major accident hazards
The council will have due regard to Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) sites and HSENI advice when considering land use and development proposals to prevent major accidents involving dangerous substances and limit their consequences to people and the environment.
In addition, the Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) Regulations seek to prevent major accidents involving dangerous substances and limit the consequences to people and the environment of any major accidents that may occur. The council will have due regard to COMAH sites and the advice of HSENI when considering land use and new development proposals.
