ENV1 – Environmental quality
Development must maintain and enhance environmental quality, protect communities from harmful impacts, and must not result in unacceptable adverse effects on ground contamination, air quality, water quality, noise, or light pollution.
Planning permission will be granted for development that will maintain and, where possible, enhance environmental quality, and protects communities from materially harmful development. Development must not result in an unacceptable adverse impact on the environment, including the following considerations:
• Ground contamination;
• Air quality;
• Water quality;
• Noise; and
• Light pollution.
