Accessible and electric vehicle parking
A proportion of parking spaces must be reserved for people with disabilities in accordance with relevant guidelines. Electric vehicle charging points should be considered in development proposals where appropriate.
In assessing car parking provision the council will require that a proportion of the spaces to be provided are reserved for people with disabilities in accordance with relevant guidelines and practice. Where a reduced level of car parking provision is applied or accepted, this will not normally apply to the number of reserved spaces to be provided. Consideration should also be given to parking provision for electric vehicles with access to charging points in development proposals where appropriate.
