Active travel network integration
Active travel provision should improve connections between neighbourhoods, city centre and employment areas, and integrate with public transport to enable sustainable door-to-door travel.
Safety concerns and the lack of quality integrated networks in the city discourage many people from walking and cycling. Opportunities to improve connections between existing neighbourhoods, the city centre and areas of employment and services will be promoted. Active travel provision should also integrate with public transport use to enable convenient, attractive sustainable modes from door to door.
