Policy DM 53: Waste Management and Disposal Facilities - Net Benefit and Environmental Protection
Proposals must demonstrate they will bring overall net social, environmental and economic benefit without likely unacceptable adverse effects on human health, air/water/noise/light pollution, historic and natural heritage assets, or neighbouring uses and amenity.
It must be demonstrated that the proposal will bring an overall net social, environmental and economic benefit without having a likely unacceptable adverse effect: (a) On human health; (b) In terms of air, water, noise or light pollution; (c) On the historic environment and natural heritage assets; and (d) On neighbouring uses and the character and amenity of the surrounding area.
