Site Investigation for Contaminated Land
Developers must conduct a detailed site investigation by a qualified professional where a site is known or suspected to be contaminated, to establish the extent of contamination and assess potential pollution risks to water, land, and human health.
Where a site is known or suspected to be contaminated, developers will be required to carry out a detailed site investigation to establish the extent of any contamination and to determine the potential for pollution of water, land or harm to human health. This should be carried out by a suitably qualified professional.
