Policy ITU 3 – Electricity and gas infrastructure
Planning permission will be granted for electricity and gas infrastructure development or upgrades by utility providers, provided visual and environmental impacts are minimized through appropriate mitigation measures.
Planning permission will be granted for proposals to develop new or upgrade existing electricity and gas infrastructure by utility providers in an efficient and effective manner, where visual and environmental impact is kept to a minimum. In assessing proposals, consideration will be given to the incorporation of appropriate measures to mitigate against the visual and environmental impact, in addition to other planning and environmental considerations.
