Telecommunications Development - Policy Justification
Digital connectivity is essential for business and economic competitiveness, but telecommunications infrastructure must be developed while minimizing visual and environmental impact.
Telecommunications are an essential and beneficial element of everyday life which influences how we communicate with the world around us. Digital connectivity is vital for businesses and makes the city an attractive place in which to invest, thereby contributing to the region's ability to compete with other global cities. With the advance of technology, telecommunications infrastructure in Belfast is continually evolving and changing how we exchange information. This policy seeks to enable the telecommunications industry to operate in a way that meets the demands of modern technical connectivity whilst keeping the visual and environmental impact of telecommunications equipment to a minimum.
